Harry has been Adopted!!!

I'm a little late to post this - but as of Sunday morning, Harry has found his forever home.  It was love at first sight (on both sides!).  I think as soon as his new mom and dad walked in the door, I was forgotten about.  It really was a perfect match.

Harry & Yahtzee

Yahtzee has maybe the cutest face I've ever seen

Yahtzee and Bella were on the couch barking at the neighbor dog.  Harry comes running in, and rather than also jump on the couch, he jumped straight up on the window sill!

Yahtzee down for an evening nap.

Long Time, No Post!

As you know, it appears I've taken a short break from posting.  The reason is, for a month there I had 2 dogs that I wasn't ready to post about!  I had Skye and Jake, both heartworm positive.  Skye had already been adopted before I got her, I just needed to keep her calm for the 30 days it takes the heartworm treatment to run its course.  And for Jake, I didn't want to start posting about him until the end of his 30 days because I didn't want someone to fall in love and then find out they had to wait to get him.  That ended up not working out for me, because he was adopted shortly after I got him too!  Both Skye and Jake have been with their families for a few weeks now, and as far as I've heard, both are loved as much as possible and are doing great!

And now I'd like to do an introduction for my new puppies.

First, I have Bella.  You can't have her because I fell in love and adopted her myself.  :-)
She's a red-haired Yorkie that is just an absolute sweetheart.

Next, Yahtzee.  Yahtzee is available for adoption!  I'll put up a definitive guide in the next week or so, but to start with, he's a ball of personality.  He's a little high energy and doesn't quite understand personal boundaries yet, so he'd do better as an only dog, or with dogs of a similar size and energy level.  He's fine with Bella, but she pretty much ignores him.  He is not so good with my other foster (Harry, see below), but only when they are in confined spaces.  When I give them the run of the house/yard, they do just fine keeping their distance.  Anyway: Yahtzee has the cutest little face, which is why I couldn't resist taking him home with me.  He is so good at fetch, I wonder if he hadn't learned before he came here.  As I type this, he's laying on the floor next to me, proving to be the good boy I know he is.  Yahtzee has soft fur and does shed a little bet.  We're working on crate training and housebreaking.  Other than some territory marking (a significant decrease after he was neutered), he's been very good about only going potty outside.

Last but not least, Harry.  Harry is also available for adoption!  I'll get his definitive guide up soon, too.  Harry is a very low key dude.  His favorite things to do are lay in his crate, lay in the sun, or lay in the mudroom.  He does not often ask for snuggles, but it has happened.  Harry would do best as an only dog, or with other low key dogs.  He gets along great with Bella, because they're both pretty chill.  As mentioned above, he and Yahtzee don't get along.  Harry is fine until Yahtzee comes into his personal space, then it becomes a growl-fest.  Harry is a sweetheart though.  When he wants pets, he will come nudge my hand until I pay attention.  I'm not quite sure what kind of dog he is, some say he's a Yorkie mix, some have thought Fox Terrier.  Either way, he is cute as a button.  His hair is wirey, not soft, and I haven't noticed any shedding from him yet.  We're working on crate training and housebreaking.  Other than some territory marking (all of it before he was neutered), he's been very good about only going potty outside.
