Cutie Patooties

Toni is such a character!  This is a blanket from his crate (I believe Striker pulled it into the living room with encouragement from Toni).  He just like to roll around in it!

Striker really is striking, don't you think?  I know black dogs usually get a tough edit because they're hard to photograph, but Striker is the exception to the rule!  Look how handsome this guy is!

Looking for a Dog that Loves Snow!?

As you can see, these 2 Southern boys don't mind a little snow!  And if you watch to the end, you'll see they come back in at a whistle!

So much for Retirement!

*SIGH*

I specifically said when I was retiring that it was at a minimum for the duration of winter.  Well...I failed.  Around Christmas, there was an outbreak of Kennel Cough at the daycare.  And to keep it from spreading they needed temporary fosters.  Of course I volunteered to take one.  Striker to be exact.  Boy, what a cutie.  Such a friendly guy, came right up to me and gave me a kiss as soon as we met.  I was told he was housebroken, which was a bonus to me (and one of the main reasons I didn't want to foster this winter was to avoid housebreaking in the cold).  That evening Striker really showed his cuddle-ability...he curled right up in my lap and laid so calmly on me.  It was really adorable.

The next day I get a call from the daycare saying Striker's BFF, Rigatoni, has developed a cough too.  So obviously I agreed to pick him up after work so he and Striker could recuperate together.  Toni (as I call him) was also a sweetie.  I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple months ago when I stopped at the daycare.  He's got long, spidery legs, and LOVES to give kisses.  He's mostly white, but with one black ear and one polka dotted ear, both flopped forward at all times.  He has also mastered the use of puppy dog eyes.

When I brought Toni home, he and Striker immediately started playing.  It's been 2 weeks, and they basically haven't stopped playing.

So yeah, it's been 2 weeks.  Their coughs are gone.  I had every intention of taking them back to the daycare this past weekend...had an email all typed up to coordinate a time, but just couldn't hit send.  These 2 are so adorable, I just couldn't see myself giving them up.  So here we are.  I managed to stay retired for 2 months.  Now I have 2 puppies.

Both boys LOVE to play fetch
