Tiffany Found Her Home

Little Tiffers left with her family Friday evening.  She was a little shy leaving, but now that she's had a whole weekend I'm sure she is loving all over every one of them.  She was only with me a short time, but she had such a fun, bubbly personality that I am really going to miss.  I can't wait to get updates from her family...I really want to know how much bigger she gets!  We're all thinking around 20lbs when she's done growing, but I can't wait to see.

Now we're just down to Owen and Tippy.  And Tippy has an application!  Oh, my sweet boy might be leaving me.  :-(  Looks like I just need to find a fur-ever home for my Owen-bear, now!  He's a real lover, folks!

Zuzu (formerly Queenie) Update!

As some of you may recall, a few months ago Zuzu's family was looking at adding another dog to their pack, and they checked out Tippy to see if he would be a good fit.  Unfortunately, they decided he wasn't.  (Or fortunately, since that meant I got to keep Tippy!)  Well, they did manage to find the perfect partner in crime for little Zuzu!  His name is Leo, and he was also a Fluffy Dog!

From Leo and Zuzu's mom:

I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to let you know that I did find a Fluffy Dog Rescue pup that was a perfect match for our family. We brought Leo home a few weeks ago and he has been the best companion for Zuzu and our two kitties. In fact, I hope Zuzu can pick up some of Leo's manners when it comes to learning how to behave toward cats. (No chasing.)

Having Leo around reminded me of your comment that Zuzu -- then Queenie -- was the "party starter" among your fosters. I now see what you mean! She's always jumping on Leo, trying to get him to play with her. He's a very laid-back dog, but he finally has enough and chases her around the yard so fast she can't keep up! It's funny to watch.

Thanks, again, for helping us find our lovely little Z. She seems much happier now that she has a playmate to keep her company when we are at work.

Best friends already?  Zuzu and Leo cuddling.

Miss Ruthie Found a Home!

You read that correctly!  My little ball of energy has found her forever home after more than a year of searching!  I am so, so, so, so, SO happy for her and her new family.  When they stopped by yesterday to pick her up, it's like she barely even knew I was there.  I think she knew that they were her people.

It was a little hard on the rest of us last night.  On the one hand, it was extremely quiet around the house.  On the other, poor Owen didn't have his play buddy.  I didn't have my evening cuddle buddy.  Tiffany didn't have her mentor.  Tippy didn't really care...he's a grumpy old man.

All-in-all, I'm really happy for everyone involved, and I can't wait to hear how she's acclimating to her new home!

Another Dog!?!?

I've been lazy about posting this week, so this post covers through last weekend.  Man, it was such a nice weekend!  I don't know who liked it better...the dogs, or me!?

The dogs had so much fun running around outside.

Owen posed for pictures.
Ruthie posed for pictures.
Tippy tried to pose for pictures...unfortunately he's the guy who blinks every time the camera clicks.
I got a peaceful evening!

Miss Ruthie is pending adoption (yay!), so don't get too excited about her...these pictures are only here to show you what you missed out on!

And last, but certainly not least, I have a new peanut in the household!  But just like Ruthie, don't get too excited about her.  She's already pending adoption too!

Tiffany: the cutest puppy in the world

Just look how cute she is!  Bouncing around like a puppy (probably because she is a puppy!).  Wanting to play with everyone, but not quite sure how yet.

Tiffany isn't sure she likes Ruthie's intro approach, but that doesn't mean they can't be friends!

After one full day of play in her foster home, I thought I could spend some bonding time without the other dogs.  Guess not!

Ruthie & Tippy go to the Dog Park

Tippy's first trip to the dog park was a success!  He and Ruthie frolicked in the non-muddy grass, peed on all kinds of trees, barked at some big dogs, and even got to meet two new small dogs!
