Tippy - updated
I've been finding that when I only do one post a week, I tend to forget the fun stuff that happens. So all my posts end up sounding the same. I'm going to try to start doing some mini-posts throughout the week when something interesting happens. This first one is regarding Tippy! My old man is very reluctant to go in the dog room when I leave for work. I really think it's just a clash of personalities. Ruthie, Jett, and Maggie are all high energy dogs, while Tippy is really a more laid back kind of guy. Yes, he gets along with them, but I think he would just prefer a quiet place to lay during the day, rather than be forced to play. So today, rather than put him in the dog room against his will, I decided I'd take the chance and let him stay out with Hardy. This means he has access to the living room and kitchen. Hardy won't bug him and he'll be able to have some relaxing time to himself. I am a little concerned that this unsupervised freedom might lead to some accidents...I'll have to get back to you on that later. But for now, this is very exciting news!
Update: The test was a success! Tippy and Hardy were both still alive when I got home last night! There was no destroyed furniture. No major accidents (one poop right next to the back door where I let the dogs out, but to be fair that could have been either of them). I was so proud of my Tipster that I'm letting him stay out again today!
